The environment a part works in, the loads it carries and the wear it sees decide the right type of casting. The casting types we produce and their typical uses:
Grey Iron Castings
Lamellar graphite cast iron
Good vibration damping, high compressive strength and easy machining make it the standard for machine housings, covers, tables and similar parts.
Ductile Iron Castings
Spheroidal graphite cast iron
Its spheroidal graphite gives higher tensile strength and ductility than grey iron, making it suitable for parts exposed to impact and dynamic loads.
Steel Castings
Carbon and alloy cast steels
Combines high strength with toughness and can be welded. The choice for heavy-duty machine and equipment parts.
Stainless Steel Castings
Corrosion-resistant castings
Resistant to corrosion and chemicals; used for pumps, valves and similar parts in chemical, food and fluid-handling applications.
Abrasion-Resistant (Ni-Hard) Castings
Nickel-chromium white cast iron
Offers very high wear resistance. Used in mining, cement and metallurgy for parts working in abrasive conditions, such as mill liners, crusher parts and pump parts.
