Products and grades
Which product groups do you supply?
We work in two main areas: iron and steel (hot-rolled, bright and forged steel; hexagon bar and seamless steel tube) and castings (grey iron, ductile iron, steel, stainless steel and abrasion-resistant Ni-Hard).
Which steel grades do you supply?
We supply nine steel groups: general structural (S235JR, S355JR / St52-3…), carbon (C10–C60), quenched and tempered (42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6…), case-hardening (16MnCr5, 20MnCr5, 21NiCrMo2…), free-cutting (11SMn30, 11SMnPb30), cold-work tool (1.2379, 1.2080…), hot-work tool (1.2344, 1.2714…), plastic mould (1.2738, 1.2311, 1.2312) and high-speed steels (1.3343…). The full list with material numbers and SAE equivalents is on the Iron & Steel page.
What size range do you supply in hot-rolled steel?
We supply hot-rolled rounds in Ø 15–340 mm, squares in 10×10 – 300×300 mm, flats and slabs in 20×5 – 1500×300 mm and hexagons in 19–80 mm. Forged rounds go up to Ø 190–1200 mm, forged squares to 200×200 – 800×800 mm and forged flats to 200×100 – 1000×500 mm.
What sizes do you supply in bright (cold-drawn) steel?
We supply cold-drawn rounds in Ø 5–85 mm, squares in 5×5 – 80×80 mm, flats in 20×5 – 200×50 mm and hexagons in 10–70 mm; peeled rounds in Ø 20–75 mm and ground rounds in Ø 16–140 mm.
What sizes are available in hexagon bar and seamless steel tube?
Hexagon bar comes in SAE 1010 / DIN S235JR (St 37): 19–80 mm hot-rolled and 10–70 mm cold-drawn. Seamless steel tube comes in DIN C45, SAE 1010-1060 and DIN S235R (St37 / St44 / St52), from 21×3 mm to 755×100 mm (outside diameter × wall thickness).
Which types of castings do you produce?
We produce grey iron (lamellar graphite), ductile iron (spheroidal graphite), steel, stainless steel and abrasion-resistant (Ni-Hard) castings. Which type suits which application is explained on the Castings page and in our article on casting types.
Quotes and orders
How do I get a quote?
The fastest way is WhatsApp: +90 539 304 88 06. You can also call +90 539 825 40 44, email info@olcaymetal.com.tr or fill in the form on our contact page.
What information should I send for a steel quote?
Grade (e.g. C45, 42CrMo4), product form and size (round Ø, flat a × b…), length, quantity (pieces or tonnes) and delivery location. The clearer the information, the faster we can reply.
What should I send for a casting quote?
A technical drawing of the part (PDF, DWG, STEP) or details of a sample part; the casting type and grade/standard required; order quantity, how often it repeats and the approximate weight per part; and whether the part is delivered as-cast or machined.
Can I ask for a grade or size that is not listed?
Yes. You can also send requests for grades and sizes not shown on the site; our sales team will tell you whether we can supply them.
Which industries do you serve?
Mainly automotive, along with machine building, energy and defence. Our castings also go to the mining, metallurgy, agriculture, chemical and construction industries.
Technical questions
How can I calculate the weight of steel?
With our weight calculator you can see the weight per metre and the total tonnage for round, square, flat, hexagon, tube and plate instantly. For example, one metre of round bar weighs d² × 0.006165 kg (d in mm). We explain the calculation step by step in this article.
Are the tables on the Technical Data page binding?
No. The tables and formulas are for information only. Please confirm grade, size and tolerance values with our sales team before ordering.
What is the difference between case-hardening and quenched and tempered steel?
Case-hardening steels are low in carbon; their surface is carburised and hardened, giving a hard surface over a tough core (gears, pins). Quenched and tempered steels have medium carbon; hardening and tempering gives them high strength and toughness throughout the section (axles, crankshafts, shafts). A detailed comparison is in this article.
Can I download your product catalogue?
Yes. You can download the PDF catalogue here, with our product groups, size ranges, grade lists and technical tables (in Turkish).
